The World Cup may have come and gone, but summer is officially here and so is the new issue of **Slice, the official newsletter of Toast Design.** The absence of Slice from your inbox over the past few months may have come as a bit of a shock - but don't worry, we're still here and we've a lot to talk about! We couldn't keep it from you any longer - so we've used up what's left of the midnight oil to bring you this month's bumper issue, which should fill you up, whet your taste buds and get you all nice and toasty, here goes!				What we've been up to? A taster of our latest works: 3rock Brochure Toast have worked with cool events management company 3rock to produce their company brochure, it's been really well received and we're really proud of it! Nigel Davies Associates Website Toast have designed and built a small corporate site for Chartered Surveyors & Solicitors Nigel Davies Associates. We are currrently also designing a brochure for the company. Have a look - www.ndassociates.com MICE\|Office Environments Website Another cool Toast designed site for our friends at the MICE Group. We managed the entire build and design of this 'brochure-style" website for one of their subsidary companies. Have a look. www.miceoe.com Lexar Product brochures Toast have been working with Lexar Media for the last few months, helping to produce marketing material for their memory card & USB storage products. Here's just a taster of what we've done, there's more to come, so watch this space! Drugscope ACPO report Toast have been working with Drugscope to produce a 96pp brochure and 8pp support leaflet for the Association of Chief Police Officers. In the last issue of Slice, we told you that Ian Denny had joined Toast as our Non-Executive Chairman, now we've got another Toastee, Zzazz D'Avaark has recently joined Toast in a studio assistant role. Zzazz will be helping us with everything from studio management, marketing and client relations, to kicking our behinds and making sure stuff gets done. Say hello to Zzazz! Also joining the ranks of Toast in recent months is David Gifford. David has taken on a 'creative director' role and will be working on a project to project basis with some of our London based clients. Toast Design continue to be a regular feature in Practical Webdesign magazine as part of the "Design Off" feature, pitting David from Toast against 4 other designers from other agencies, get yourself a copy and see how he's fairing. Are you missing out on Google Adwords? - Do you know what they are, if you have a website you should be using them, and Toast can help. We've been making extensive use ourselves and we can't recommend it enough. For a fixed daily budget, have your advert appear on the first page of Googles' search results for any keyword search terms that you specify! It is a little tricky to set-up, which is why Toast are now offering to manage Google Adwords on behalf of our clients. For a small monthly fee we will create and maintain your Google advert. Every month we'll bring you a short list of stuff we find cool. Sometimes odd, sometimes weird, but it'll give you a good taster of where we're coming from...... No 1: The Fishes Festival: One of our clients, The Peach Pub Co, have an excellent pub in Oxford called The Fishes, with a great beer garden. They're having a festival of food and drink on Sat 22nd July, we're going, you should too. They're even having a egg throwing comp! - www.fishesoxford.co.uk No 2: Cool hold music: We've got a brand-new phone system at Toast Towers, and we've customised the hold music to suit our tastes. Next time you call us, ask to be stuck on hold and you'll see what we mean! No 3: The new Mac book pro: This may be a bit geeky, but they are cool! - Mummy can we have some for Christmas? No 4: Lost (Series 2) Believe it or not, we do have some time for telly, and it is on late. But Lost is just getting better and better isn't it? - More annoying too!
